Equipment Requirements

  • Mountain Bike - in proper working order that fits well. It needs to be working well enough to ride a minimum of 10 - 20 miles per week on dirt trails. 

 

  • Bike Helmet - in good condition and fits properly.

  • Bike Light - evening rides will likely go past sunset. Handlebar or helmet-mounted bike light. If you don't have one let us know, we might be able to get a discount as a team.

 

  • Eye Protection

 

  • Gloves

 

  • Shoes - which can be cycling shoes for clipless pedals OR for flat pedals, a flat sole shoe works fine OR a MTB specific shoe works best. No Sandals!

 

  • Water Bottles OR Hydration Pack - please note that it is super important to stay hydrated when you’re not riding as well, especially as we hit the hot summer temps. 

 

  • Spare Tube - MUST have one at all times, even if you run tubeless. Tire levers and sealant are a plus.

 

  • C02 / Hand Pump

 

  • Cell Phone or Bike Computer to track rides - a Wahoo, Garmin, or even an old, or cell phone. We use this along with Strava to track our rides. 

 

  • Strava Account - the free plan works great.

  • Team Snap - this is for team communication, as well as paying for your team registration. We will be using this to notify parents and riders of practices. 

 

  • Maricopa County Park Annual Pass - is highly recommended, the other option is to pay per visit at every practice, which is less cost-effective.
